Description

The Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership is seeking quotations for the supply of services in respect of a Third Party Reporting and Helpline Service for Hate Crime.

Tackling hate crime is of special importance because of the damage it causes to the victims and their families; it also has a negative impact on communities in relation to their cohesion and integration. Early reporting and recording of hate crime, even if it is seen as low level can help prevent victims being targeted repeatedly and the level of the crime escalating to possible tragic levels.

The service will provide an effective third party reporting function for the victims of hate crime and the witnesses of hate crime incidents. This will be independent from the police and will be available across the whole of Nottinghamshire including Nottingham City.

The contract will be for a period of 12 months, expected to commence on 1st October 2013.
