Maintenance and inspection contract for traffic control equipment and intelligent transport systems. Warwickshire County Council as the lead purchasing authority are seeking tenders for the above services. The contract will be for an initial term of five (5) years and the Council(s) reserve the right to extend the contract by further period(s) not exceeding 24 months, if performance is satisfactory as defined in the tender pack and contract. Maximum total contract period is 7 years. Warwickshire County Council as the lead authority invites applications from suitably experienced.
Companies for the maintenance and inspection of traffic control equipment and intelligent transport systems.
Warwickshire County Council are also acting as the lead authority for the co-ordination of a collaborative joint tendering process on behalf of the Coventry City Council and Nottingham City Council and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. The administration of each of the above Contracts will be carried out independently by each authority in its own contract area.
The main area of service required is:
(1) Traffic control equipment;
(2) Car park variable message signs;
(3) Free text variable message signs;
(4) Minor civil works associated with maintaining the traffic signal equipment and
(5) Supply/installation/commissioning of traffic signal equipment associated with the upgrades of existing sites.
Warwickshire County Council will be using its e-tendering system (In-Tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. Where bidders have submitted tenders for multiple Authorities, we anticipate there is the potential for bidders to offer an ongoing annual discount, should they be chosen as the successful supplier. We will need to establish whether bidders providing individual authorities, bidders providing multiple authorities, or a combination of the two give the best overall solution. In the awarding process, we will consider every possible combination of awards and select the combination that gives us the best overall solution.
