The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to provide Translation and Interpretation Services to the Borough The Translation and Interpretation Service contract will include, but not be limited to, written, verbal, British Sign Language and face-to-face translation and interpreting for all council services in the borough, including Children’s and Adults’ Social Services, Housing, and other areas. The Council currently has around 3,000 translation and interpreting requirements a year, and will be looking to contract with capable providers that can deliver high quality translation and interpreting in the borough across a wide range of languages. This will be for a minimum of a three year contract that may last up to five years. Full documentation and supporting information will be in the Tender Documentation which is now available. Expressions of Interest Interested organisations must demonstrate a past track record of experience in delivering similar services. Organisations or consortiums should have a proven track record of innovation and high quality service delivery, and in particular the Council would like to see experience of delivering services in a similar environment and where necessary, in a legal context. Your organisation will have the appropriate staff recruitment and processes and be able to fulfil requirements to a Service Level Agreement, with demonstrable processes to ensure the correct level of experience and capability for each requirement. . You will need to demonstrate that the organisation has the capacity to meet our demand, which historically is around 3,000 translation and interpretation requirements a year.
