VisitScotland requires a translation agency to provide professional translation services for a variety of communications channels utilised in promoting leisure tourism to Scotland. These range from PR requirements such as press releases, consumer or travel trade website content, e-newsletters, copy for adverts whether online/TV/radio/press, copy for social media channels such as Facebook pages, and printed brochures.

The translation requirements are for European languages only. Majority of which will focus on the following languages but we may require other EU languages on an ad hoc basis: French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, German and Swedish.

Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems. The postbox closes precisely at the time stated.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The initial period of the contract will be 12 months from the date of award. This period may be extended by two further periods of up to 12 months each at the discretion of VisitScotland.

The budget for the initial 12 months of the contract shall not exceed £60,000. Budget for the following 24 months shall not exceed £50,000 per annum. The maximum value of this contract shall not exceed £160,000.
