Kent County Council is seeking supplier(s) to provide Arboriculture services within two available lots which will cover different areas within the County. Lot 1 consists of trees within Dartford, Gravesham, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council boundaries. Lot 2 consists of trees within Ashford, Canterbury City, Dover, Shepway, Swale and Thanet District Council boundaries.
The main activities required under this contract consist of the following:
— Felling;
— Pollarding/Re-pollarding;
— Crown Reduction;
— Crown Lifting;
— Clearance from Structures;
— Removal of Deadwood;
— Stump Removal;
— Planting.
The initial contract period is for three years. There are up to two potential annual extensions that may be awarded to the successful tenderers. These will be at the discretion of the Council.
Following a recent Make, Buy, Sell review, Kent County Council is allowing local schools, Borough/District Councils, Parish Councils and other KCC Directorates to purchase services under this contract.
Applicants should note that TUPE will apply to both of the individual lots. The Council is in the process of working with the incumbent suppliers to obtain this information, and as such, further details will be provided during the Invitation to Tender stage of this procurement process.
The Council is undertaking a Resticted Procurement Process that requires interested suppliers to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. Shortlisted applicants will then be sent the full Invitation to Tender. The procurement process will be run wholly through the Kent Business Portal. Upon registering your expression of interest for this opportunity you are required to download the PQQ directly from the Kent Business Portal.
