EST. START DATE: 17/03/2021

Description

Within Erewash’s corporate plan, the following aims are identified:

• A welcoming borough, that is clean and safe.
• Supporting our communities.
• Planning for the future.
• A well run, efficient council

In order to meet these aims and maximise social value, Erewash Borough Council wishes to consider how economic, environmental and social benefits can be integrated throughout the procurement process.

The Council will shortly be tendering for the provision of tree (arboricultural) services. The services required will include general tree work services such as hedge pruning, stump removal and re-instatement and will also include the provision of emergency tree works to address situations where, for example a tree is at risk of failing or a tree is blocking a road.

Comments and suggestions are therefore welcomed as to how the Council could maximise social value in the specification for delivery of this service.

Comments should be returned to the procurement team – procurement@erewash.gov.uk no later than 4pm on 17th March 2021.

Please note, the Council does not guarantee that all suggestions will be incorporated in the tender specification although consideration will be given.
