A new event space on Levels 4 & 5 of the Science Museum’s South Kensington site will be a unique space in London. It should evoke the spirit of the Museum and capitalises on the spectacular views across the London skyline. The new space which will allow the Museum to attract day time events’ clients and therefore generate income without competing with the Museum’s cultural programme.
To achieve its ambition the Museum is launching a 2-stage competition to find an architect for the project. The first stage will allow the Museum to create a shortlist of at least 5 architects who will produce concept designs during the second stage. The winner will be announced by July 2016.
