Coventry City Council operates a number of UNIX hosts which are nearing end of life. The council wish to initiate a replacement programme with implementation.
The council wishes to radically re-structure its UNIX infrastructure, reducing complexity and cost in the process. The council is especially keen to consider options which reduce costs in terms of both support/maintenance of the hardware and operating systems.
The awarded supplier will be responsibile for installing and maintaining hardware, and migrating applications from existing UNIX hardware to the new solution.
