II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

To conduct detailed drainage surveys and investigations on both surface water and foul drainage systems in urban areas. The surveys will require among other techniques, mapping, dye tracing and CCTV camera survey work in order to establish connections and prove inferred drainage from any existing plans, to fill in any gaps, or create new plans as required. The surveys will be conducted in areas that are draining to receiving waters which are currently failing to meet the EU Water Framework Directive Standard of Good Ecological Status. The survey results, which will include details of any environmental pollution, misconnections, serious damage, blockage, lack of maintenance etc, will be provided in the form of a detailed report with accompanying drainage plans showing both surface water and foul drainage for the entire survey area in question. The framework may also be used for CCTV culvert inspections. This will be an all Wales framework with geographical lots being used.
