The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is seeking the services of skilled and experienced valuers of antiques and works of art. The FCO requires valuation of its furniture, carpets, architectural fittings such as chandeliers, silverware, glassware and china, tapestries, sculptures, decorative arts and paintings held at its overseas estate. It is envisaged that the valuation exercise will be undertaken in two stages. The first stage will involve desk-top valuation of the global estate. The desk-top valuation shall identify the top 15 estates by value of artwork/antique assets. The second stage will involve a rolling visit programme to provide an inventory of such assets at top missions.
The FCO intends to hold a supplier day in London on 6.12.2012. All interested suppliers are welcome to attend this event to find out more about our requirement. To register your interest and download a supplier prospectus, please register on our procurement portal www.fco.bravosolution.co.uk. The deadline to register your interest is 17:00 hours (GMT) on Friday, 30.11.2012. Instructions on how to access our procurement portal and how to express interest in this opportunity are as follows:
