The project comprisies a design and build solution for capcity enhancement and step free access at London Undergrounds Vauxhall Station. Key elements of the project shall include (but not be limited to): – Congestion relief designed to provide sufficient capacity for future demand growth, and allow for full utilisation of the station’s vertical capacity. The works will comprise the reconfiguration of the existing staff accommodation and current station control areas in the ticket hall, the removal of the retail units, and the widening of the gate line allowing inclusion of additional gates. The works will be phased into temporary and then permanent locations for many facilities, to allow the station to stay operational throughout, meaning complex logistics and the need for full involvement with the operation staff throughout the works. – Step-free access aspect through the creation of a new lift and stair shaft at the south west corner of the ticket hall down to platform level, which will connect to the platforms via a new adit and new cross-passage at platform level.

Tenders and supporting documents shall be priced in pounds sterling and all payments under the Contract will be made in sterling.The terms and conditions of payment will be set out in the Invitation to Tender documentation.

The Contracting Entity reserves the right not to award any contract as a result of the competition called for by this notice and the Contracting Entity shall not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by any of the bidders in responding to this notice or in tendering for the proposed contract.
The Contracting Entity may interview any or all companies who express an interest in tendering for this work.
Applicants should note that notwithstanding previous registration on TfL’s list of vendors they must re-apply if they wish to be considered for the works.
