The Contractor(s) shall operate a Vehicle Recovery Scheme, which will ensure that the Authority receives a high quality recovery, removal, storage and disposal of motor vehicle service within the Staffordshire Police Force Area.
The Contractor will be required to recover, remove, store and dispose of light and heavy vehicles, motorcycles and abandoned vehicles (excluding those vehicles under local council responsibility). Including but not limited to broken down, stolen and collision damaged light and heavy class vehicles and motorcycles, which are contravening traffic regulations and causing obstructions on the highways and motorways; burnt out vehicles, vehicles used in crime, vehicles recovered under the Police Reform Act 2002 and the removal of unlicensed and untaxed vehicles within the total area of the Staffordshire boundary except where expressly stated.

Tenderers may bid for recovery of light vehicles only, heavy vehicles only or may tender for both heavy and light vehicles. Tenderers may also select on a geographical basis. Please refer to the tender documents for more information.

The Contractor will also be requested to remove vehicles form such other locations as may be required e.g. Authority premises.
