Description of the contract

In recognition of the fundamental role Kent Police has in providing a professional service to victims of crime, assess the entire experience to identify opportunities to improve victim care. Taking the main issues highlighted by victims, suggest areas for targeting improvement work. In conjunction with the Victim Support Service and victims, provide recommendations that will enhance the service Kent Police provides to victims of crime, particularly the key areas of the initial police contact, the response, the action taken by officers upon arrival and throughout the victim experience, how the victim was treated and keeping victims informed of progress. The research will focus on the service provided to victims within the following categories: Rape, Robbery, Violent Crime (including domestic abuse) and Hate Crime. Victims are at the heart of the criminal justice process and Kent Police would also seek to understand how they can support victims of crime, particularly in relation to domestic abuse. In doing so to understand how Kent Police can inspire their confidence and trust in the criminal justice process and support prosecution where appropriate and continue to have trust and confidence to report in the future

Tenderers will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) which Kent Police & Crime Commissioner will use to evaluate suppliers economic and financial standing, technical capacity and ability to ensure they meet Kent Police & Crime Commissioner’s minimum requirements. This will include, but not be limited to; name, address, telephone number, contact details, status (sole trader, partnership, private or public company) together with the length of trading, parent or holding company details and other subsidiary companies within the group (if applicable).
