Waltham Forest Council is currently reviewing its services and how they are delivered. Delivering better outcomes for residents during a time of reducing and limited resources requires innovations and partnerships to provide services at the right time, the right way, for the residents that need them. Waltham Forest seeks to maintain its reputation as a high performing, cutting edge authority. To this end the council has developed an integrated Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategic Mission Statement. A key action from the VAWG mission statement involved re-modelling our services and procurement of: (1) an integrated violence against women and girls (VAWG) service, which will support the Council’s response to reducing and preventing violence against women and girls (including men and boys). (2) a community-based perpetrator programme, that will hold perpetrators accountable for their behaviour and reducing offending and breaches of civil orders In advance of this procurement process, the Council will be hosting a market engagement event for prospective providers and interested parties on Wednesday 30th April 2014, 14:00pm at: Waltham Forest Town Hall, Council Chambers, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 4JF The aims of the market engagement event are to: Ø Advise the market of the forthcoming procurement opportunity Ø Enable prospective providers and interested parties to learn about the new integrated model and to have an input in the final specification for the procurement Ø Enable prospective providers to identify and manage any barriers to entry, at an early stage Ø Question and Answer session Ø Network with stakeholders, providers, practitioners and interested parties If you are interested in attending the market engagement event please register your interest via this website.
