This Framework Agreement is for the provision of Domestic Waste Management services incorporating the collection, transportation, minimisation and appropriate disposal method at agreed locations for Landfill, Dry Material Recover (DMR) treatment via Material Recycling Facilities. The Framework includes (but is not exclusive to) hazardous (Non Healthcare), General Domestic Municipal Waste, Ferrous, Non Ferrous Metals, Confidential, Office Paper, Offensive Healthcare Waste and Miscellaneous Waste.
The Framework is to be a collaborative approach working with providers and NHS Shared Business Services members and potential associate members to combine purchasing power to ensure that the Framework Agreement achieves sustained leveraged benefits with a view to deliver greater savings, reduced risk and added value to our customers.
The aim is to establish consistency relating to the provision of Domestic Waste Management to NHS Shared Business Services customers and ensure compliance with HTM 0-7, addressing the environmental impacts and to encourage the segregation and subsequent treatment, recovery, re-cycling, safe handling, transportation and appropriate treatment and disposal of General Domestic Municiple and Hazardous (Non-clinical) Waste Streams.
