The contract will encompass the collection, transportation, minimisation, segregation, reuse, recycling and final disposal of all non-healthcare waste, generated by the Trust, utilising means which minimise environmental impact and maximise cost savings.

Precise information on deadline(s) for lodging appeals: The contracting authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calender day standstill period at the point information on the decision to award the contract is communicated to tenderers in accordance with Regulation 32A of the Public Contract Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No.5) (“the Regulations”). Any tenderer wishing to appeal the decision to award the contract, or after the award of the contract appeals the award of the contract, shall have the rights set out in Part 9 of the Regulations. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No.5) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months). Where a contract has not been entered into, the courtmay order the setting aside of the award decision or order the authority to amend any document and may award damages. If the contract has been entered into, the court may only award damages.
