II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Sampling Services (Waste Waters) consists of a specialised non-regulated sampling requirement predominantly for our Process Design Group. Samples are then analysed by STW’s nominated laboratory under a separate non regulated analysis framework. There is also a requirement at some sites for Jar Testing and COD Fractionation of samples.
Sample surveys are an essential part of the detailed design process for Quality, Capital Maintenance and Growth schemes to inform the sizing and configuration of wastewater assets for biological, chemical and physical treatment processes. Sample surveys are also used to optimise site performance.
Flow and Load surveys are also required by our Operations Departmentt to identify process failures to target investment and in the short term to assist with improving process stability and maintaining the required level of treatment.
