The authority are looking to procure a cloud based water asset management tool to replace the current solution.
Kent Fire & Rescue Service (“The Authority”) currently utilises a solution for the management of water assets. Knowing where water assets are located is of paramount importance to Fire Crews when they attend fires in order to reduce harm and save lives.
Water assets are managed by the Water Services team who are responsible for inspecting water assets and recording their working state/arranging for repairs to be made as required. Water asset data is made available to fire crews via an Mobile Data Terminal (MDT).
The current solution has been used by the Authority for 12 years and is now reaching end of life. The Authority are looking to procure a cloud based water asset management tool to replace the current solution and improve business processes around water provision. The intended contract will be for an initial 3 (three) year term, with 2 (two) potential 12 month extensions. The Authority will carry out the procurement in accordance with all relevant legislation.
