The core range of products should include:
1. Arrival information (orientate) — For rail, bus and car parks.
Visitors are to be welcomed with comprehensive, citywide information including mapping, nearby services, interpretive information and details of the city’s character areas and key attractions.
Two map based product types will be required:
Type 1 — When walking into and through the city users will be greeted by route products that will provide views into and out of the city centre helping to promote movement around the city.
Type 2 — In large open areas and vistas products will need to be larger in size to provide a wide angle view of the city’s offer and to connect visitors to the many areas of interest.
2. Fingerposts.
On street maps will be supported by fingerposts showing headline directional information. These will also provide walk times to key areas, destinations and landmarks.
