WE PLAY seeks to appoint a PR agency to deliver a public engagement and mass participation campaign for the Cultural Olympiad in the North West. The campaign will encourage people in the North West to join in the Cultural Olympiad as a festival of human endeavour, for us all to participate as ‘PLAYERS’ and take part in the programme of cultural events on offer in the Olympic Year in the North West. Central to the campaign is the concept of the ‘WE PLAY Challenge’, a loyalty scheme that rewards participation in the Cultural Olympiad. The target audience taking part in the WE PLAY Challenge will record their experiences of Cultural Olympiad events in personal ‘PLAYER’ profiles on the North West in 2012 website. The WE PLAY Challenge offers its participants the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make their mark on the UK’s Olympic and Paralympic year. Our ambition is to deliver a single, region-wide communications campaign that raises awareness of Cultural Olympiad events in the North West. The campaign will drive audiences to a single website that consolidates the London 2012 offer for the North West. The campaign will create a single online community of people interested in the region’s 2012 activity, where participation is encouraged and discussed.
