Wealden District Council (WDC) seeks to appoint a Contractor or Contractors who is (are) fully experienced and qualified in undertaking refurbishment works to deliver their programme of capital works at Crowborough, Uckfield, Hailsham and Heathfield Leisure Centres.
The Leisure Centres will remain open for the duration of the works and therefore Contractors will be expected to demonstrate experience of working in an environment where members of the public are using adjacent facilities in close proximity to the works.
Applicants are advised that the required works will be tendered as two ‘Lots’ (two stand alone contracts). Lot 1 comprises the works at Crowborough LC & Uckfield LC, Lot 2 comprises the works at Hailsham LC & Heathfield LC.
In the case of eligible Contractors expressing an interest in only one Lot, WDC reserve the right to decide, if the Contractor is successful, whether the Contractor is to be invited to tender for Lot 1 or Lot 2, based on the rankings of the evaluation process.

The work will be extensive re-modelling and refurbishment of the interior of the Crowborough & Hailsham Leisures Centres, with lesser re-modelling and refurbishment of the interior of Uckfield Leisure Centre and a general upgrading of finishes at Heathfield Leisure Centre.
