The Met Office wishes to understand more about the capabilities and maturity of the marketplace with regards to weather visualisation software, which is capable of receiving, processing and graphically representing increasingly large quantities of meteorological and customer data.
The information, data, comments or reactions obtained may be used as research for a potential future procurement exercise.

The Met Office are currently running a high priority programme to drive innovation into the heart of the organisation entitled ‘Future of Operational Meteorology’. The programme aims to deliver new processes, technology and tools for our operational meteorologists so that we are fit to thrive in the future to respond to our customers changing needs.
The visualisation early market engagement aims to explore options to address future needs to visualise large quantities of data to inform decision making and delivering customer value within operational meteorology, as well as address current pain points often caused by multiple existing solutions.
