Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales (“NMW”) in conjunction with several partner organisations has received funding from the Welsh Government to further development and enhance the People’s Collection Wales (“PCW”) website.
PCW is a bilingual digital platform to collect, interpret and display the story of Wales.
It is designed to be place where everyone can not only discover and learn about Wales but also contribute their story alongside stories and content provided by other people and organisations. PCW is a valuable resource in collecting, interpreting and discussing Wales’s cultural heritage in an online environment.
The website is supported by a programme of activities to explore new and exciting ways of collecting, exploring, discovering and sharing the stories of Wales and its people.
PCW is key element in the Welsh Government’s Programme for Government 2011-2016. The website supports key agendas such as digital inclusion, lifelong learning, and cultural tourism.
The website was launched at the National Eisteddfod in August 2010, and continues to be updated and developed. The link below shows the current design:

From 1.4.2011, People’s Collection Wales is delivered by partnership led by three national cultural and heritage bodies:
— Amgueddfa Cymru-National Museum Wales,
— National Library of Wales,
— Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales.
It is envisaged that the proposed tender will further development and improve the website whilst still incorporating the current design.
Organisations interested in participating in the tender process are required to complete and submit a pre-qualification questionnaire (“PQQ”) by the date set out in Section VI.3.4 below. The PQQ is available on the EtenderWales website at:

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: Organisations interested in being considered are required to complete and submit a PQQ by the deadline specified in Section IV.3.4 in the contract notice.
