Description of the contract

The scope of this work package is to undertake design and structural improvements to Metro sites with a third party supplier ensuring that the high levels of accessibility and usability already achieved via the existing CMS are retained. This involves (but is not limited to): • Development of associated web page templates • Migrating existing websites’ content to the new CMS system platform • Ensuring content can be delivered to mobile devices • Providing training to key Metro website users • Usability and accessibility testing • Migrate content of existing sites to the new CMS while updating the look of the website but maintaining ease of navigation • Encourage customers to move towards low cost, on-line interactions by: o maximising opportunities for accessing data through self-servicing o improving the range and quality of information available to customers on the website o providing a means of accessing public transport service information through the procurement of electronic interactive mapping o delivering navigational and other ‘quick win’ improvements to the journey planner facility
