Tender for the redesign of the Waste Awareness Wales website
WAW runs national and local campaigns that must be supported by a website that’s fit for purpose. Our current website was designed in 2004 and is in need of redesign.
This design brief outlines the need to create a strong, engaging and interactive website that incorporates current brand identity but also by being flexible enough to incorporate stand alone promotions to target multiple target audiences.
3. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
To appoint a web design company to redesign the WAW website. Sections below outline in more detail the requirements of the website.
Target Audience
The General Public – everyone in society has a part to play. The website must try and communicate with all members of the public to provide information and to facilitate behaviour change.
Media – we get lots of media enquiries so a section of the website will be dedicate to facts and figures specifically for the media.
Local Authorities – so they can share in national promotions and campaigns and sign post their residents to the WAW website.
Community Groups – Establishing good links with online community groups is key.
Children – target specifically via online games and activities (TBC)
Website Activities and Objectives
We would like the general user to engage in the following activities on our website. Items are listed in order of importance:
Find out more information about all things relating to reducing, reusing, recycling waste.
Follow us on social media sites
Play online games
View WAW videos
Access the bank locator
Find out about Waste in your area
This ties in with our major website objectives:
Generate awareness about WAW and our key messages
To be the main website that delivers national campaign messages as determined by WG
To act as a key tool that helps facilitate behaviour change
Classification of contract (CPV codes)
72000000 – IT services – consulting, software development, Internet and support.
