The Contracting Authority requires Contractors to have the capacity to deliver, and where appropriate install and remove old appliances in the same visit or day.
White Goods for this procurement are classed as:

Where an existing appliance is replaced, Places for People require the old appliance to be disposed of in accordance with WEEE directives and in line with Places for People environmental policies.
There will be 9 Lots in total as representing 9 regions of the United Kingdom in which Places for People operate. The 9 regions are Scotland, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, North West, East and West Midlands, London, South West, South East and East of England.
Under the contract, the service provider and its supply chain will be required to participate in the achievement of social and/or environmental policy objectives for example, relating to recruitment and training and supply chain initiatives. Accordingly, the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations to be detailed in the contract documents.
The length of agreement will be three (3) years with an option to extend for a further period of one (1) year. Spend has been given a range of between 350 000 GBP and 600 000 GBP and calculated using the maximum possible framework period, including extension, of four (4) years taking into account the changeable demand for white goods.
