II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The current estimated annual value of the Contract is 3 500 000 GBP per annum. It is the intention of the authority to set a minimum annual value of 2 000 000 GBP. In terms of an upper limit this will vary dependant on government funding and has been as high as 6 000 000 GBP per annum during their life of the existing contract. Further information is given in the “Information Note” accompanying the Pre-qualification questionnaire.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: Interested parties will be required to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). The Council will be inviting tenders for a new Highways Works contract during 2012. Organisations may bid for both the Highways Consultancy (related to this notice) and Works contracts. However, organisations wishing to bid for both contracts will need to demonstrate to the Council’s satisfaction that appropriate measures are or will be in place to ensure there are no actual or potential conflicts of interest or other adverse consequences prejudicial to the Council’s interests.
