Staffordshire Moorlands District Council are seeking to appoint suitably qualified consultants to undertake a detailed study concerning sensitivity of the District’s landscapes to additional wind turbine development at different sizes and scales.
The Council receives a growing number of planning applications for wind turbines across the District each year, and wishes to augment its current landscape character evidence with a Study specific to the impacts of wind turbines, which should be up to date, methodologically robust and detailed, to assist in consistent, coherent decision-making of planning applications involving turbines.
