Description of the contract

South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced company to carry out the miscellaneous replacement of windows and doors in PVCu to Council owned properties within selected villages in the district of South Cambridgeshire. All windows and doors are to be manufactured from LB Sheerframe 7000 or WHS-Halo-System 10 PVCu multi channelled profiles. The contract will be for 1 year with an estimated value of £100,000 and the work is to be completed by 31 March 2014 also, there may be an option to extend the contract with the successful contractor for a further year subject to pricing and performance. Interested parties should note that subject to the level of interest shown in the first instance, PQQ’s may be issued otherwise the tender documentation will be sent out. SCDC will require the successful contractor to provide a customer focused service and show a commitment to providing an effective service that provides value for money to the Council and its residents. Applicants for selection and bidders must possess the following: a. Registered with Constructionline b. Public Liability Insurance for £5 million c. Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) details d. Proven track record and knowledge of the Construction, Design & Maintenance Regulations (CDM Regulations) and, are responsible for bearing all costs and expenses they incur as a result of participating in the procurement process irrespective of whether or not it leads to award of the contract.
