- Working Wirral Programme
- Wirral’s Investment Strategy (refreshed in 2011) recognises that a successful economy is fundamental to the Borough’s future prosperity and to achieve social equity outcomes.
As part of a complementary suite of budget policy options for the economy, the Council has identified funding to continue to invest in a programme to tackle worklessness. In developing a programme, consideration has been given to determining the proposed interaction with DWP services as well as identifying gaps in national provision to meet local need. As a result the Council wishes to tender for a Wirral wide programme of delivery with 3 main elements to the contract:
i. Universal Offer to add Value to DWP Services
ii. Bespoke Offer to add value to DWP Services
iii. Working with Council Programmes/Initiatives
The contract will run for 12 months from 1st September 2012 to 31st August 2013, with an option to review and extend for further period(s). Any extended period(s) will not go beyond the 31st August 2015. The Council is not able at this stage to confirm the availability of future funding from 1st September 2013 to 31st August 2015
