Description of the contract

INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF YOUTH SUPPORT SERVICES TO PROVIDE: POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE OR A TEENAGE PREGNANCY PREVENTION SERVICE The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Integrated Family Services (IFS) invites tenders from suitably skilled and experienced Providers to deliver youth service provision within the Barking & Dagenham area. The maximum budget per Tender is £50,000. This is not a general fund and the Council are seeking to commission the following services: • Teenage Pregnancy Prevention and Sexual Health Awareness • Providing Positive Activities for young people We are seeking to commission Providers to develop and deliver innovative and unique projects that that clearly link into the Children and Young People’s Plan, the Governments Positive for Youth Agenda 2011, Troubled Families, and Statutory Guidance on Services and Activities to Improve Young People’s Wellbeing 2012, appropriate regional, national policies and compliments other local provision. All services should be based on need and clear evidence must be demonstrated. Only one application per Organisation including Consortium bids will be considered. If any Organisation submits more then one bid, this will result in all bids from that Organisation being rejected. The selected Provider will be expected to work with Barking & Dagenham Council to ensure the provision of good quality services. The contracts are expected to be for a period of one (1) year commencing on 1st April 2013. Providers must currently be running Positive Activities for Young People (PAYP) or a Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Service based on which Service you tender for and must be able to demonstrate three (3) years relevant experience, have proven financial stability and have a commitment to quality, inclusion and continuous improvement. Experience of Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) TUPE would also be an advantage. Only one (1) application may be submitted per organisation.
