Expressions of Interest invited for funding for providing Youth Work and Youth Provision within Brighton & Hove in partnership with Artswork and supported by investment from the South East Bridge.
Commissioners, providers and service users have worked collaboratively over the past two years to develop the ‘Services for Young People’s Joint Commissioning Strategy 2012-15’. This next stage will result in a three year delivery process to implement focused youth work and youth provision in communities across the city. Co-production will be firmly embedded as part of the process. The working relationship with Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) Youth Service will be integral to this process and the future joint direction of travel will be informed by Positive For Youth.
Funding for the approved Organisation(s)will commence on the 1st October 2012 and run until 31st March 2015. The value of this agreement is £401,000 p.a., with confirmed additional funding of £50,000 p.a (Artswork, the South East Bridge – Arts and Culture Funding) and £30,000 p.a. (Public Health – Sexual Health Funding) for the first year, and the potential that this additional funding may continue past the first year. Interested parties will be required to complete a Funding Agreement Application Form which will form the basis of the initial selection procedure. All successful organisations will be asked to attend dialogue and discussion sessions in July 2012.
A briefing session for interested organisations will be held on 21st May 2012 and all potential applicants are encouraged to attend.
